BOCES 2 Paraprofessionals: Supporting Teachers. Empowering Students.
Get ready to make a difference in BOCES 2 classrooms by becoming a paraprofessional.
What is a paraprofessional?
Paraprofessionals are classroom heroes who help keep classrooms running smoothly. Often referred to as teacher assistants or teacher aides, paraprofessionals are key contributors to education, helping manage the classroom and creating a positive environment.
No paraprofessional experience necessary!
Whether you are just getting started, looking for a career change or have a passion for working with students, a paraprofessional job is right for you. Successful paraprofessionals come from a variety of backgrounds including:
No experience working with children
Clerical experience
Paid or volunteer experience working with children
Childcare courses through the American Red Cross
Full-time experience with working with children in a school setting
If you want to change lives and become a paraprofessional, BOCES 2 will help you achieve that goal!
Join BOCES 2 at the Paraprofessional Hiring Event on Thursday, Aug. 22, 2024 from 3-7 p.m. at the BOCES 2 Professional Development Center, 3599 Big Ridge Road, Spencerport, NY.
