Paraprofessionals are classroom heroes who help keep classrooms running smoothly. Often referred to as teacher assistants or teacher aides, paraprofessionals are key contributors to education, helping manage the classroom and creating a positive environment.

No paraprofessional experience necessary!
Whether you are just getting started, looking for a career change or have a passion for working with students, a paraprofessional job is right for you. Successful paraprofessionals come from a variety of backgrounds including:

• No experience working with children

• Clerical experience

• Paid or volunteer experience working with children

• Childcare courses through the American Red Cross

• Full-time experience with working with children in a school setting
